The challenge

In 2021, COVID killed in-person events. But businesses kept moving and annual Sales and Marketing Kick Offs remained important to global tech organisations. Ciena needed a virtual solution that would be as engaging and valuable to their global workforce as any in-person event.

The head-turning idea

Ciena had decided the event theme would be ‘Performance’ and with 2021 being the year of the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics, we modelled the virtual environment on an Olympic village, with defined areas for each event activity.
